The damp spraying method works with water. The insulation material is dampen with water after leaving the hose. The humidity causes a loosening of the Lignin in the insulation material and a conglutination of the material. The damp insulation material can now be built up permanently open at walls and roofs. This isn't possible with dry material. Spray heads or pipes with multiple spray nozzles are used for damping the material.
The insulation material stream can be imbrued and bunched optimal by the use of two or more spray nozzles. This stream can be built up to the desired thickness. When glue is added to the water the binding effect raises. Higher thicknesses are no problem any more. The work overhead is a lot easier then.
Spray heads and spray pipes
Two important applications a differed in damp spraying:
Smaller spray heads with up to two spray nozzles are especially proper for wall and ceiling coatings. Mostly only water without glue is used (cellulose). Spray heads with three and more spray nozzles can be used for wall coatings because of the precise adjustment possibilities. These tools are mainly used for open blowing in practice.
Spray pipes (Terminators) have further advantages compared to spray heads:
High pressure pumps are used for additive of liquid to the material flow.
Two types of pumps are used here:
The piston pump needs a water-connection. So there is no refilling necessary. The working pressure can be adjusted exactly with an adjustment wheel and a manometer.
Water can be pumped out of a tank (bucket/drum) with this pump type. So you can work with your own water-glue-mixes. The working pressure can be adjusted exactly with an adjustment wheel and a manometer.
The fast way to smooth surfaces.
The X-Floc wall scrubbers offer a fast and easy stripping and smoothing of overlapping loose insulation coatings which have been produced by damp spraying in studwork and cavities. Old or new buildings do not effect the function. The accurate stripping makes a precise closing of the cavities with the desired planking material possible.
